Detailed Itinerary of the 2024-10 Day Kilimanjaro, Tarangire & Ngorongoro Tour

Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to Tarangire National Park

Reach the Arusha International Airport, where you are picked up by a driver guide to transfer you to Tarangire National Park. En-route, enjoy views of the green terrain vegetation, birds and lunch. On arrival at the park, enjoy an en-route Game Drive then check-in your lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Tarangire Safari Lodge.

Day 2: Game Drive in Tarangire then Ngorongoro

Early morning breakfast and transfer on a Game Drive along the various tracks in the Park watching wildlife wander around their natural vegetation habitat. Have lunch then go to Ngorongoro Conservation Area for en-route Game Drive then later check-in your lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Ngorongoro Wildlife Lodge.

Day 3: Game Drive in Ngorongoro & Departure

Morning breakfast then with your luggage enjoy a Game Drive around Ngorongoro watching many wildlife animals wander around their natural vegetation habitat. After Game Drive, depart to Arusha International Airport or the Kilimanjaro International Airport to board your flight back home.

Day 4 of the 2024-10 Day Kilimanjaro, Tarangire & Ngorongoro Safari: Transfer to Moshi

Transfer to Moshi then to the Mountain Kilimanjaro gate where you do arrangements then with guides, gather your luggage and equipment. Proceed to Mti Mkubwa Camp for Dinner and Overnight.

Day 5: Drive to Mountain Kilimanjaro’s Marangu Gate, Hike to Mandara Hut

10 Days Mt Kilimanjaro Tarangire & Ngorongoro Tour Wake up have breakfast then transfer to the Marangu Gate for (45-60 minutes) and when you get here register and embark on your hike through the rainforest to the Mandara Escarpment. Proceed on your hike via the Maundi Crater where you view surroundings like Northern Tanzania and Kenya as well as the towering Eucalyptus trees, birds and Colobus monkeys.

Day 6: Hike Mandara Hut to Horombo Hut

Wake up have breakfast then embark on a hike through the rainforest ascending into the open moorlands to the Horombo Encampment and when you reach here view the Mawenzi and Kibo Peaks. While here watch the giant lobelias and groundsels. You feel some altitude sickness. Have Dinner and Overnight at the Horombo Hut.

Day 7 of the 10 Days Mt Kilimanjaro Tarangire & Ngorongoro Tour: Hike Horombo Hut to Kibo Hut

Wake up have breakfast then proceed on a hike onto the saddle of Kilimanjaro in between the peaks of Kibo and Mawenzi viewing the verdant green vegetation including upper heathland then to the moonscape. You will reach the Kibo Hut where you rest, have Dinner and Overnight.

Day 8: Hike Kibo Hut to Summit and down to Horombo Hut

Wake up early have breakfast then at midday to 2 am embark on your hike along the steep and heavy scree up to Gilman’s point situated along the crater Rim. Proceed on your hike to the Uhuru peak the highest point along Mountain Kilimanjaro. After you getting at Uhuru Peak take various photos to keep for memories, then later proceed on your descent to the Kibo Peak to rest and later to the Horombo Encampment for Dinner and Overnight.

Day 9: Hike Horombo Hut to trail head, drive to Moshi

Wake up have breakfast then transfer on a descent through moorland to the Mandara Hut then verdant forest trails to the National Park Gate at Marangu . At lower elevations the trails get wet and muddy and when you reach the Marangu Village proceed to check-in your hotel in Moshi for Dinner and Overnight.
